Hi everybodyyy! We are all done with school work and have two half-days left to party, party, party! Just a few reminders:
TOMORROW (Thursday 6/7) - Our joint 2nd grade party tomorrow will take place at the PE field. We will head to the PE field at 8:45am, but please come earlier if you signed up to help! - Lunch is 11am-12pm. We will have food served in the Home & School room; kids will eat at the lunch tables. - Tomorrow, please have students wear FIELD TRIP shirts, athletic bottoms, and PE appropriate shoes with SOCKS. - Please send your kids with their water bottles to stay hydrated! Hats and pre-applied sunscreen would also be wise! - We will have the following stations for our field day: a jumper, slime-making station, relay race, kickball, capture the flag, and free play. - Below this post is the schedule for tomorrow. If you are in charge of a station, please announce which station the current group is going to next at the end of each session! Teachers and aides will help walk the groups over. FRIDAY (6/8) & MISCELLANEOUS - Summer review packets were sent home today. These will not be collected. It's just for the students to retain what they learned this year over the summer! :) - If you have any missing assignments, or any AR books/library books at home, please return them all by Friday! - Teacher request forms are also due this Friday! - Remember, parents are welcome to party with us on BOTH days! Siblings may not participate for field day (due to limited resources and space), but are welcome to on Friday! - This day is FREE dress, but we will be having our hula hoop + jump rope competition, so please still have them wear PE appropriate shoes! They may bring a change of shoes for later. - Clarification: we are NOT going to Drayson Center at all this year. We opted for the field day instead of the pool. I've talked to the kids about this several times but realized I never wrote to parents about it (my apologies!) Sorry for the information overload!!! Please let me know if you have any questions. Hope to see you all at both (or at least one) of the parties! :) - Jenny Kutzner * Yearbooks were sent home today! We did not get a chance to sign each other's, so please send them back on Monday after flipping through this weekend. :) I will give them time in class to sign them. Some students decided to leave them here for safekeeping. * Mon-Wed = Normal school days! * Thurs - NOON DISMISSAL! 2nd Grade Joint Party @ PE field - please wear field trip shirts one last time! * Friday - NOON DISMISSAL!
